If you love cozy crochet projects that feel special yet remain practical, the Lots of Love Beanie might just become one of your new favorites.

This Tunisian crochet beanie features a beautiful crossed stitch texture that creates a subtle XO-inspired pattern, making it perfect for gifting, matching sets, or keeping warm all season long.
One of my favorite details? The snap-on faux fur pom, which lets you easily switch colors and remove it for washing.
The pattern includes five sizes — Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult, and Large Adult — and is written clearly with the smallest size first and larger sizes in parentheses.

About the Stitch
The Lots of Love Beanie is worked using Tunisian Crossed Stitch, a variation of the Tunisian Simple Stitch where pairs of stitches are crossed to create a textured, woven look.
Don’t let the name intimidate you. If you’re comfortable with basic Tunisian crochet stitches, this pattern is very approachable. The stitch repeat is easy to memorize, and once you get into the rhythm, it’s a relaxing project that works up beautifully.
The crossed stitches create a fabric that’s:
- warm but not stiff
- stretchy enough for a comfortable fit
- visually interesting without being overly complicated
If you’re new to Tunisian crochet, this is a great project to build confidence.

Fasten off the color you just finished with (for some beanie sizes, it will be yarn A and for some, yarn B)
Bind off across as follows:
Insert hook under the next 3 stitches, yarn over, pull up a loop, then pull that loop through the loop on the hook.
Continue regular Tslst bind off across.
When 4 stitches remain, bind off the next 3 stitches together, then bind off the final stitch as Lts.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for closing the crown.
FINISHING
Close the Crown
Using a tapestry needle, weave the long tail under both loops of every other bind-off stitch.
Pull gently to cinch closed.
Go around once more to secure.
Seaming
Using the same tail, mattress stitch the side seam of the hat body down to the brim.
Weave in the end.
Using the short starting tail, mattress stitch the brim seam.
Weave in all remaining ends.
Turn hat right side out.

Pom Pom
Sew a snap to the top of the hat and snap on a faux fur pom. I used these snap on poms.
Washing Instructions
Remove pom before washing.
Hand wash gently and lay flat to dry.
