This shell stitch crochet blanket pattern is an easy 2-row repeat made with two different Lion Brand Mandala Ombre colorways. You can mix and match the different colorways and end up with tons of different looks.

A multicolored striped blanket with white fringe is draped over a modern white chair. The background includes another blanket and decorative wall elements. The floor is covered with a woven rug.

Why You'll Love This Pattern

The Felicity Blanket uses the interlocking shell stitch to create really nice texture and movement across the rows.

I love how this stitch works with self-striping yarn - it lets the colors pool and shift in interesting ways. Using two different Mandala Ombre colorways gives you this great color play where the shades blend and change throughout the blanket.

The white tassels around the edge add a fun finishing touch that makes it feel extra cozy.

Colorway Ideas

I mixed Balance and Tranquil, but there are so many more colorway options you can go with. Here are a few that I thought would look beautiful together:

Balance and Mantra

Horizontal bands of pastel colors, including green, pink, purple, blue, and teal, are arranged in parallel lines for a textured look—perfect inspiration for a Felicity Blanket or an interlocking shell stitch crochet pattern.

Follow tassel instructions from this video.
