The Inspiration Behind the Yvette Baby Blanket
When designing this baby blanket, I wanted to create something that looked intricate but was actually quite simple to make.
The crunch stitch—one of my absolute favorite stitches—became the perfect choice for this pattern. It’s a mix of half double crochet and slip stitches, which results in a wonderfully soft and textured fabric.
To make things even more special, I incorporated a solid color yarn with a self-striping yarn, creating a stunning effect that looks like you put in a ton of effort when, in reality, the yarn does the work for you!
And the best part? No weaving in of ends!
A Seamless Design with a Professional Finish
One of the most tedious parts of any crochet project is dealing with all those pesky yarn tails. With the Yvette Baby Blanket, you don’t have to worry about that!
Since you carry the yarn up the sides as you change colors, all those floats get neatly tucked away when you add the ribbed border.
